Pre-Valentine Sweetness

I know in my first post I said I am a tutu-wearing-girly-girl inside, I also realize that something I am planning to admit to in a sec will collide a little with this first revelation, but we women are exactly that, filled with contradictions!
Anyway,I have to admit ….ready? drum rolls please… here it comes: I am not too big on the whole Valentine’s Day thing… Are you? I hope it is fine either way, I guess there is some truth to saying that the world can be divided into Valentine’s lovers and haters and that’s a good thing, there has to be balance in nature!
My impression of the holiday was formed during my “bad teens” period… and since I did not grow up with a herd of adorers, Valentine’s day was always a sad reminder that I am not the subject of sweet and romantic dreams of nobody… hey, reader(s) no pity for me!..no have no pity on me, I found me a great knight in a shiny armor eventually, I found me my C. , my husband, the greatest piemaker there is…however, the Valentine’s sweetness never caught up with me, with a piemaker, I get it every day after all… anyhow, what I am trying to say is I get tired of all this obvious pink hearts, and red roses, and chocolates, and all this craziness… also all the fashion proposed for the holidays became a tid bit tacky, I get so bored with notoriously overused reddish-pink from your corner drug-store, so… here it goes: lets not be obvious ladies, lets not turn slowly into snowmen-earnings-before-Christmas-wearing folks, I say no to becoming a holiday neon sign.
I am all about staying feminine, sweet, yet sophisticated and elegant. Ladies lets use the sweetness to our advantage, so be fresh and flirty instead of ostentatious and predictable… My inspiration is based around the cream shades, wonderfully popular ruffles (I hope they are here to stay!), and always elegant black complementing any dominant color or themes, the rest is up to you…pink or not, Happy, surprising, exciting AND SWEET Valentine’s Day!!!
